SDGs: A Mission to Save the World
The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are important, but they can often feel abstract or distant to the general public. To make them more accessible and engaging, I created a one-minute video that reimagines the SDGs as game-like missions.
Inspired by 90s video game aesthetics, the concept plays on the urgency of “completing missions to save the world.” The goal wasn’t just to inform, but to spark emotional involvement encouraging viewers to feel like active participants in shaping a better future.
Research:
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are important, but they often feel boring or unengaging to the general public.
Insight:
What if we could make them as exciting and engaging as game missions?
Design Solution:
I designed the project in the style of 1990s video games to capture attention and make the goals feel more interactive.
Result:
The project received very positive feedback from my professor, and I also taught myself the fundamental elements of motion graphics independently.
